Namoos-e-Risalat seminar held at Lahore Press Club

LAHORE – Mashaikh-e-Ahlesunnat Pakistan hosted a Tahafuz-e-Namoos-i-Risalat seminar at the Lahore Press Club on Saturday. Jamia Naeemia Principal Dr Raghib Naeemi, Prof Ashraf Asif Jalali, Sardar Mohmmad Khan Laghari, Syed Shahid Gardaizi among others spoke on the occasion.
The speakers believed that conspiracies were being made for the blasphemy laws’ repeal but the ‘slaves’ of the Prophet (PBUH) will fight back conspiracies. “Namoos-e-Risalat is not a political issue; it is the issue of our faith. If some people in government believe they can amend the blasphemy laws to win favour with the West then they are living in a fool’s paradise. We will toss such out from the government,” the speakers said.
Strict legal action against Raymond Davis was also demanded by the speakers. Dr Raghib warned the rulers to stay away from ‘western agenda’, as this will create a situation like Tunisia and Egypt. Shahid Gardaizi while speaking in favour of Mumtaz Qadri said, “If the rulers were sold to plead the case of Salman Taseer, we owe the right to give full support to Ghazi Mumtaz Qadri.”
