LAHORE – Kinnaird Club and Garrison reached the final of the 5th Regional Inter-district Senior Women’s Cricket Tournament here on Saturday. The final will be played on Monday at the Kinnaird College ground. Ms Bushra Aitzaz, chairperson PCB women wing will be the chief guest of the prize distribution ceremony.
On the last day of the league matches, Garrison College defeated Barki Club by 118 runs. Mahlaqa Mansoor (108) led Garrison College to a big win over Barki. Garrison made 201 runs for the loss of five wickets in 30 overs. Barki’s Asma Feroz took three wickets. In reply, Barki Club made 83 runs and fell to Mahlaqa, who took seven wickets in 5.4 overs, giving away 25 runs.
In the other match, Garrison Club won against Ravi club by 178 runs. Garrison Club made a big total of 288 runs for seven wicket, with Aesha Qazi (55), Shamsa Hashami (31), Zeeba (67 not out) and Asma (38) all chipping in with the bat. Ravi’s Asma Khan and Maham shared two wickets each. In reply, Ravi Club could make just 27 runs with only Fareena, Maham and Farzana reaching double figures. Garrison’s Shamsa, Asma Usman and Sabahat Rasheed shared two wickets each.
