ISLAMABAD – Defence Minister Ahmad Mukhtar has declared to the National Assembly that there is no plan to sell off PIA’s profitable routes to other country or airlines. Responding to a point of order raised by PML-N lawmaker Hanif Abbasi, he said no direct flights and profitable routes would be sold out to any other country and added that direct flights would continue for London and US.
“We intend to extend more facilities to the passengers and conduct further efforts to make the organisation profitable. We also want to brief the parliamentarians in this regard,” he maintained.
