LAHORE – Multan and National Bank registered wins in their respective matches of the Faysal Bank One-Day National Cup (Division-I) at the LCCA and Gaddafi Stadium on Friday. At LCCA Ground, Lahore, Multan put ATBL attack to sword by making 325 for seven with Zain Abbas making 96 and Imranullah 61. Imran Nazir and Raza Hasan got three and two wickets respectively.
In reply, ZTBL was bowled out for 159 in 34.1 overs. Imran Nazir and Shahid Yousuf reached half centuries while the remaining teams fell to Kashif Naveed, Imranullah, Ali Moazam and Tahir Maqsood. At Gaddafi Stadium, National Bank reached the target of 213 set by Wapda for the loss of four wickets in the 41st over.
Apart from Ahmed Said (67) and Nawaz Sardar (55) no Wapda batsmen could stay at the wicket for a longer period. Muhammad Talha and Uzair-ul-Haq took six and four wickets respectively. On the other hand, NBP achieved the score for the loss of four wickets with Hammad Azam, Fawad Alam and Umer Amin completing the score.
