BISP survey to assess poverty in FATA

ISLAMABAD – Federal Minister and Chairperson of Benazir Income Support Programme (BISP), Farzana Raja has said that the government was fully aware of the difficulties being faced by the people in FATA.
She said the government had expedited the development process in the area. In this regard the Benazir Income Support Programme is launching its poverty scorecard survey campaign in FATA after February 15, 2011, which would be completed in two months, said a press release issued here on Friday.
It said she also told this to a high-level delegation from the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR). The delegation was led by Mr. Kilian Klein Schmidit, Senior Advisor UNHCR.
