Accountability court summons former food minister Tikka

LAHORE – An accountability court on Friday summoned former minister for food Iqbal Tikka with his brother Azam Tikka, son-in-law Hammad Tikka and Adil Saleem Tikka, newly nominated co-accused in a reference filed against Sheikh Muhammad Ayub the owner of renowned Qasr-e-Zauk for February 2.
National Accountability Bureau had nominated Iqbal Tikka, Azam Tikka, Hammad Tikka and Adil Saleem Tikka by following the direction of Supreme Court during the hearing of a suo motu notice taken by the court in this regard. The accused, on Friday furnished surety bond of one lac rupees each in accountability court after getting pre arrest bail from Lahore High Court.
According to the details a references has been filed against Sheikh Muhammad Ayub who purchased property bearing no 1-E/III Main Boulevard near UCH Gulberg-III, commonly known as QASR-e-ZOUK from the mst. Shaheen Khan, Akhtar Akram and others and started business. After some time Sheik Muhammad Ayub received a set back which caused a huge loss to him.
Many of the investors approached NAB and then Sheikh Muhammad Ayub taken into custody by NAB authorities. During his detention Malik Muhammad Qayyum and Iqbal Tika approached Sheikh Muhammad Ayub and offered him a solution of his problems especially in returning the amount to the claimants.
They showed their keen interest for the purchase of said property from Sheikh Muhammad ayub, in this regard they obtained the signature and thumb impressions on various blank papers including stamp papers on the pretext that the said signature and thumb impressions will be used for the purposes of preparing the sale deed.
In this way they prepared fake documents in favor of former Senator Gulzar Ahmad (CEO Asia Gas Pvt. Ltd) or his nominees and deprived Sheikh Muhammad Ayub from his property without paying him a single rupee, while Asian Gas and Senator Gulzar Ahmad are earning lacs of rupees daily by running the marriage hall of the property depriving Sheikh Muhammad Ayub from the fruits of his property.
Supreme Court of Pakistan, during the hearing of bail application filed by Sheikh Muhammad Ayub directed NAB authorities to arrest the influenced accused who are illegal occupant of Qasr-e-Zouk. By following the direction of Supreme Court, NAB issued notices to accused to join an inquiry in this regard conducted by NAB Punjab.
The accused remain fail to join the inquiry so the NAB authorities declared guilty in this matter and put their name in the under trial reference filed against Sheikh Muhammad Ayub.
