Friends and foes both claim that NS has a tangled thought process. He is in fact as complicated as a jalebi. He baffles you with a deadline, which as his arch critic Chaudhry Shujaat puts it, is really a headline. He can present himself as the governments severest critic but the next minute he is born again as Islamabads committed saviour? He is distressed by the governments lavish lifestyle but why is he whizzing around to Cholistan in a private jet compliments of a Pakistani Sheikh from Rahimyar Khan, once a Chaudhry groupie and incidentally the very person who organises shikaars for men of wealth and influence, never mind the endangered species.
Curiously enough, not only is NS as perplexing as a jalebi he is actually a connoisseur of that sweet. We hear that some time back he came across a man hawking jalebi on a stall. The stuff passed the culinary test and NS actually financed the man to expand his business. The jalebi hawker got himself a shop in Lahores Firdous Market and has now progressed to another level. He has franchised his brand in Islamabad. Just shows how a mouth watering jalebi can change your life.

We hear that ever since the PM indicated that he may dissolve the cabinet, the announcement has sent a tsunami among sitting ministers. The ones most devastated are the ones whose ministries have been declared extraneous. They expect to get the axe for sure and the idea of living like an ordinary parliamentarian is giving them nightmares. Then there is the category that has to reclaim a slot in the reshuffle. The thought of a reshuffle has sent shivers down their spine because they know that such a move will trigger of another debacle for ministries where they could lose to someone who has managed to cosy up to the two VVIPs .This category too is lobbying aggressively and keeping a hawks eye on any emerging rivals.
Then there is the group that sees an opportunity here. This category includes some chat show regulars, some who have defended government policies and faux pas with all the subtlety of a sledgehammer. We hear Dr Firdaus Ashiq Awan is sharpening her claws, even more, to get the Info ministry which explains why the current ministers are having such sleepless nights and nightmares.
