LAHORE – The Sports Board Punjab on Thursday gave cash awards to its female athletes for winning the PSB Inter-Provincial Youth U-16 Girls Athletics Championship.
The awards ceremony was held at the National Hockey Stadium, Lahore, and Secretary Sports Punjab Saeed Ahmed Nawaz was the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners of the Championship, while DG Sports Salman Ijaz was also present on the occasion
The gold medal winner athletes were given Rs 5000 each while the silver medal winners were awarded Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 went to bronze winners. The players who got awards:
Sara Mumtaz (100m gold), Sahiba Asra (200-m), Sahiba Asra (400-m), Sahiba Asra (800-m), Maswara Iqbal (long jump) got Rs 5000. Maswara Iqbal (100-m)) and Sara Mumtaz (200-m) Rs.3000/-, Parveen Fayyaz (800-m), Sidra Hameed (long jump), Beenish Ashiq (high jump) Rs 2000 each.
