LAHORE – The elections of PIA Senior Staff Association (PIA SSA) have been delayed for three months due to the lack of necessary security cover provided by the Sindh Government; for the elections that were due to be held from 28th January till 12th February, 2011.
Earlier, PIA administration had requested Government of Sindh to provide necessary security coverage for the elections. However, the Provincial Home Department informed PIA Administration that due to the prevailing security situation in the city, the Police and Security Personnel are already over stretched with various commitments and therefore the PIA SSA elections will likely be postponed.
