LAHORE – Kinnaird, Garrison and Ravi clubs won their matches of the 5th Regional Inter-district Seniors Women’s Cricket Tournament here on Thursday. Kinnaird Club overwhelmed Garrison College by 149 runs at the Government College University ground. Kinnaird made 228 runs.
Sidra top-scored with 64 runs, while Nimra made 30 runs. Garrison’s Mahlaqa bagged three wickets while Sadia took two. In reply, Garrison could only score 79 runs and were bowled out in 22.1 overs. Hina Imran took four wickets while Bahktawar and Mehwish shared two wickets to overwhelm Garrison.
Garrison Club beat CS Club by 271 runs after their team hit a mammoth 341 runs. Sidra Nawaz hammered an unbeaten 188 off 113 balls with the help of 30 fours. She was helped at the other end by Sabahat Rasheed, who made 63 runs. CS Club’s Nabeela took three wickets, but could not stop Garrison’s onslaught.
In reply, SC Club could only score 70 runs and fell to Asma Usman and Maryum’s bowling, who shared three wickets each. Sabeen Sammad and Nazish Ch took two each.
