ISLAMABAD – The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Thursday was moved for the release of an accused Shahbaz Ahmed who had been arrested for hacking website of the Presidency. The accused filed an application to the High Court for his release in response to a case registered against him on July 18, 2010 by Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on the charges of hacking website of the Presidency.
In the application, the accused claimed that he was falsely implicated in the case and he had done nothing in this regard. Meanwhile, a single bench of Justice Riaz Ahmed Khan heard a case of two missing boys. The counsel of the petitioner told the court that officials in the secret agencies had rounded up three sons of the petitioner. He added that later petitioner’s one son namely Ahmed Sultan was released but Awais Ahmed and Hakim Ahmed were still in the custody of agencies.
The petitioner informed the court that following his application to national commission for missing person, a meeting was arranged with his sons in Sargodha. He said the agencies promised with him that his sons would be released but it did not happen. The court sought reply from quarter concerned and adjourned the hearing till February 7.
