Cheechawatni girls notch CM Cup hockey title

LAHORE – The second Chief Minister’s Sports Competitions (intermediate inter-district level) are in full swing and have entered the final stages. In Sahiwal, the final girls hockey matches were held and won by Government College for Women Cheechawatni. The winning team for final boys athletics competitions was Government Faridia Post graduate College Pakpattan.
Government College for Women Pakpattan was victorious for girls final athletics competitions while in girls final badminton tournaments, Government College for women Pakpattan won the matches. In Okara, the boys final cricket matches were held at Jinnah Stadium. DPS college Okara beat Government College Okara in the cricket final.
In Sargodha, the girls volleyball matches were held and won by Government Bhalwal College which beat Punjab girls College Sargodha. Government College for women Sargodha remained victorious in girls hockey matches whereas Punjab Girls College Sargodha won badminton competitions. In Bahawalpur, the boys athletics competitions were held at Dring stadium. Luqman Ayaz from Punjab College Bahawalpur won the 100m race, Wasif Ali stood 1st in 200m race.
Mohammed Riaz from Best College Bahawalpur beat the title of winning 400m race while Zeeshan Habib from SE college Bahawalpur was prominent in winning the 1500m race. The team from SE College Bahawalpur stood winner in 4x100m relay race. Mueedat Ali won long jump and Umer Khan won the title of shot putt. In Multan, the girls hockey volleyball and badminton competitions were played among various teams. The shining team was Government Women Degree College Katcheri Road, Multan for all three competitions.
In girls Athletics competitions, Wajiha Kareem from Government Women Degree College Katcheri Road Multan won the 100m and 200m races. Kiran Rana from Government Women Degree College Katcheri road Multan got 1st position in 400m and 1500m races. Fozia Perveen was victorious for shot putt and Samera Batool was the winner for long jump competitions.
In Toba Tek Singh, boys badminton, cricket and athletics competitions were held. Government MC college Toba Tek Singh was the winner for badminton, Government Degree College Gojra stood first in cricket and Government Inter college Morosipur won the athletics competitions. The winner for 100m and 200m races was Mubashir Hassan from Government PST College Kamalia.
Qamar Abbas won the title of 400m race while Sufian Sarwar from Government College 333 beat 1500m race. Mohammed Irfan was highlighted for long jump and Maqbool Ahmed for shot putt competitions.
In girls athletics events, Aqeela from Government College Peermahal won the 100m and 200m races. Sadaf Bashir was victorious for 400m race, Shahida Rafique for long jump and Shabana Dastagir was the winner for 1500m race. Hifsa Saleem won the shot putt event.
Government Degree College Gojra won volleyball title while Government College for Women Toba Tek Singh won the badminton competitions. In Lahore, the girls semi-final of volleyball was won by Islamia college for girls, Cantt Lahore.
