PESHAWAR – Suspected militants have bombed two schools in Charsadda and South Waziristan, while in a drive to check militants’ entry into Bajaur tribal agency from Mohmand Agency, authorities have imposed curfew for an indefinite period. A girls’ primary school was blown up in Srokali of Tehsil Shabqadar, Charsadda.
No casualty was reported. In another attack, suspected militants bombed another high school in Mosa Neka village in South Waziristan. Residents believe that the militants are attempting to regain the control over the areas secured after the military operation in 2009-10. An official in political administration Bajaur confirmed that the security forces had imposed curfew in Bajaur after they launched an offensive against suspected militants.
A security official said a man of tribal levies was killed in a rocket attack on a post in the Safi area of Mohmand Agency.
