LAHORE – Nestle and Ufone qualified for the final of the 1st Raaziq CPL T20 League Cricket Tournament here on Wednesday. In the first semi-final, Ufone beat Telenor by three wickets. Telenor scored 134 for 9 wickets in allotted 20 overs here at Railway Stadium ground.
Sulemman Bhatti 39, Rehmat Ullah 19 and Saqlain Shah 16 runs were the main batsmen. Raza Ijaz took three while Muhammad Bilal took two wickets. In reply Ufone achieved the target for the loss of seven wickets with Muhammad Bilal 64 and Faheem Arfidi 15 runs. Waqas Amanullah took three while Asim Raza and Qaiser Rehamn took two wickets each. Muhammad Bilal was declared man of the match.
In second semi-final, Nestle beat RBS by 28 runs. Nestle scored 193 for 6 in allotted 20 overs here at Railway Stadium ground. Farhan Yousaf 89 and Waqas Mir 60 not out runs were the main batsmen. Ali Younis took three and Imran Haider took two wickets.
In reply RBS scored 165 for four with Ali Younis 64, Saqib Malik 29 and Mudassar Iqbal 21 runs. Farhan Yousaf took two wickets.
Farhan Yousaf was declared man of the match. Muhammad Kaleem and Ansar Mehmood were the umpires while Abdul Hameed was the scorer.
This kind of event should be there in Pakistan, to improve and give a boost to cricket in Pakistan.
