LAHORE – Mahlaqa Mansoor, Asma and Nimra Imran gave sparking performance on day two of the 5th Regional Inter-District Women Cricket Championship (seniors) here on Wednesday. In the first match, Mahlaqa Mansoor went all out in her maiden unbeaten 133 in the record total of 413 runs scored by Garrison College in 38 overs for the loss of five wickets. Her team beat Central College Gulberg by 369 runs.
Mahlaqa’s inning also included 11 fours and was supported by Shagufta Akhtar 82 (16×4) and Madiha Rajput 82 (11×4). These girls took 41 and 48 balls to reach their score respectively. Sidra Ashraf and Mehar-ur-Nisa shared two wickets each. In reply, Central College Gulberg could reach 44 runs in 12.1 overs. Asma sent their seven batswomen packing. She gave just 12 runs in her four overs.
Shakeela Rmazan with 20 runs was the only scorer of repute. Similarly, Nimra grabbed eight wickets for Kannaird Club which beat SS Club at 31 in seven overs while the two remaining wickets were claimed by Hina Azam. Nimra gave 24 runs in four overs. In reply, Nimra Faryal Awan and Sidra Amin achieved the score in 2.1 overs.
