LAHORE – Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Member of the National Assembly (MNA) Hamza Shahbaz Sharif on Thursday visited the Mayo Hospital and inquired after injured of the Urdu Bazaar Chowk blast. Hamza went to the Amritsar, Delhi and Gujranwala wards and asked about treatment facilities being provided to the injured.
He expressed satisfaction over arrangements made by the hospital administration for treatment of the injured and directed doctors and administrative officers to ensure free medical facilities and medicines to patients. The PML-N MNA appreciated the courage and morale of the injured and assured them that the Punjab government would look after them in the hour of need.
He said that terrorists could not demoralise the nation with their cowardly acts. Hamza also inquired after policemen who were injured in the blast and lauded their courage and spirit. He said that by performing their responsibilities efficiently, policemen have saved lives of innocent citizens and they are heroes of the nation.
Mayo Hospital MS Dr Zahid Pervaiz said that 52 injured are under treatment and condition of most of them is satisfactory and they would soon be discharged. He said that the hospital staff is taking utmost care of patients.
