LAHORE – Suicide attacks could be stopped in 90 days if drone attacks be stopped immediately, said Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Punjab President Ahsen Rasheed while talking to the party officials on Wednesday.
He said, “The drone attacks in the tribal areas are the basic stimulus and the government should mend its policy of following the US directions. Current rulers are putting the lives of the common man at stake and are shamelessly claiming to continue the alien war while sitting in their castles.”
He accused the government of illegally bagging money for supporting the war against terror, and he claimed that Pakistanis were not ready to get caught in their paradigm. He maintained that Americans were apprehensive regarding this war as it was not only weakening their economy but also the causality reports of millions of innocents exposed by their own media have generated an anti-war sentiment across the globe. He said Pakistanis will not support the continuation of this ‘failed policy’ as many lives were at stake.
He added that politicians should commute like a common man without protocol. PTI Punjab Secretary Information Dr Shahid Siddique said Pakistanis stood with PTI, judiciary, army and media, who propagated dialogues against killings. “Our leader Imran Khan has announced that we can stop terrorism in 90 days and the nation was unanimous over this issue, which is the out come of the oppressive policies,” he maintained.
