WAZIRABAD – The menace of drug addiction is increasing day by day and over 8 million people have drug addicts in the country. These views were expressed by speakers at a one-day workshop at Government Maulana Zafar Ali Khan Degree College Wazirabad.
They urged the government to take steps to eradicate this menace of drug addiction. “Drug addiction has very dangerous effects on the health of human beings. In a backward country like Pakistan where the economy is already in a bad state, it is very essential that this menace must be curbed,” the speakers said.
People from all walks of life, including educationists, lawyers, journalists and students, participated in the workshop.
