LAHORE – Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif is sick for the past few days and has been unable to attend to all his official assignments and duties, an official at Chief Minister Secretariat told Pakistan Today.
“He is attending office daily, holding meetings and receiving delegations. But considering his ailing condition, he has slashed 50 percent his official workload and is not going outside,” the source added.
According to another senior official, CM was staying indoors in Raiwind and CM secretariat on the directions of doctors who had advised Shahbaz to protect himself against viral infections and the cold weather. He said that doctors had also recommended a 3-day bed rest.
CM press secretary Shoaib Bin Aziz said that CM had some cough problems but now he was fit.
