LSE contracts noticeably

LAHORE – The Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE) remained bearish on Monday and the volume declined significantly. The LSE 25-shares dwindled 19.77 points to close at 3,819.82 points against its opening at 3,839.59 points. Out of 118 active scrips, 14 went up, 51 went down and 53 closed without any change in their opening values.
The market’s volume underwent a decline of 2.98 million shares to close at 4.65 million shares. Lotte Pakistan PTA, with a turnover of 1.7 million shares, was the volume leader and it added Rs 0.37 to close at Rs 15.07 against its opening at Rs 14.70. Fauji Fertilisers Bin Qasim, with a turnover of 0.55 million shares, dwindled Rs 0.42 to close at Rs 41.87 against its opening at Rs 42.29.
Netsol Technologies was the major gainer as it accumulated Rs 1.22 to close at Rs 25.61 against its opening at Rs 24.39. ICI Pakistan suffered major loses as it declined Rs 6.50 to close at Rs 148 against its opening at Rs 154.50.
