KARACHI – A suicide bomber rammed his explosive-laden motorbike into a police van at Malir in Karachi, killing at least two persons and wounding four others, private TV channels reported on Tuesday.
The bomber targeted the police van of Saudabad Police Station which was deployed for the security of Shia procession. Triggering tension around the already tense city, the powerful blast can be heard far and wide, and caused damages to nearby buildings.
Soon after the attack, the security agencies condoned off the area, and relief activities have also been kicked off. The injured persons including a policeman have been shifted to nearby Jinnah Hospital.
