Ajay Devgn, who had walked out of Rajkumar Santoshi’s ‘Power’ is apparently back in the film now. We thought the actor had left the project for good when he quit the project in November last year. This also caused the film schedule to go completely haywire.
In fact, post that the industry was abuzz with rumours that the film was shelved following Ajay’s exit. But all rumours can be put to rest now because this multi-starrer is back on track. A source said, “The film was launched with in September last year and boasted of an ensemble cast of A-listers like Amitabh Bachchan, Sanjay Dutt, Anil Kapoor, Ajay Devgn amongst others. The cast stays the same and Amisha Patel will play the female lead.
Apparently, Ajay walked out of the film earlier, as he did not want to work in multi-starrers. Added to this were his dates, which were choc-a-bloc with several other films that he had signed in the interim. However, after much persuasion from the producer of the film Firoz Nadiadwala, Ajay returned to the film. Firoz met Ajay on Thursday evening at Filmistan studios. The actor had gone there to promote his upcoming film ‘Dil To Baccha Hai Ji’ on the TV show ‘Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa’.
Apparently, Firoz offered him another film apart from ‘Power’. And for both films, Firoz was willing to pay Ajay enormous amounts of money. The actor has now agreed to work in ‘Power’ and the dates are being worked out.” When contacted, Ajay Devgn’s spokesperson refused to comment on the issue.
