Sindh govt asks KESC to reinstate sacked employees

KARACHI – In its second meeting on Sunday, the committee constituted by the Sindh government for the reinstatement of sacked employees of the Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) asked the company management to immediately reinstate the sacked employees.
The meeting was held at the Sindh Chief Minister’s House with Shazia Marri in the chair. Besides KESC Managing Director Tabish Gohar and other officials, the meeting was attended by committee members Amir Nawab, Rafiq Engineer, Rashid Rabbani, Waqar Mehdi, Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Senator Abdul Haseeb and Khalid Iftikhar.
The meeting discussed various matters related to the reinstatement of sacked employees of KESC. Speaking during the meeting, the members reiterated their demand of the immediate restoration of 4,500 employees, saying the government and its coalition partners had a clear stance on the issue.
