Shahzain urges parties to join long march

LAHORE – Leader of the Jamhoori Watan Party (JWP), Shahzain Khan Bugti, has announced that he would lead a long march towards Dera Bugti on Januray 28 and called on all political forces to join the march.
Flanked by party leaders, Shahzain, grandson of slain Baloch leader Nawab Akbar Bugti said Dera Bugti had turned into a “no-go area” after the assassination of Nawab Bugti and now it was the need of hour to save it. He said as long as security forces remained in the area, peace could not be ensured in that part of Balochistan.
Shahzain said the killing of innocent people was not done by Balochs, rather security forces were involved in such acts. To a query about the solution of problems of the Baloch people through dialogue, he said all assurances made by the federal government were theoretic and didn’t exist practically.
He again rejected the Balochistan reforms package, calling it an eyewash. The JWP leader also announced that all parties were welcome to join the long march towards Dera Bugti.
