LAHORE – Terrorism and inflation is on the rise and all the government can do is cut developmental budget and fire employees, former president Pervez Musharraf said in a statement released by the All Pakistan Muslim League’s (APML) media cell.
Not only is the country’s situation worsening but terrorism is also growing, he said, adding that people were never fired in his tenure but his regime generated new jobs, and raised developmental budget from Rs 100 billion to Rs 600 billion, and also gave jobs to 15 million people.
He further said that no one complained about the governance of their regime, and even the opposition appreciated their governance, adding that the present government had destroyed everything. He said that he decided to come back into politics in order to direct the country towards the way of progress, and serve the people of the country.
“Neither I am self centered, nor am I a captive of personal life, if that was the case, then I would be living comfortably,” he added.
