ISLAMABAD – Condemning European Parliament’s demand for pardoning Aasia Bibi, Opposition Leader Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan on Saturday said that it was an interference in the country’s internal affairs.
Nisar said instead of poking nose into Pakistan’s internal matters, the West should take up the issues like blasphemy, desecration of the Holy Quran, abolishing of mosque minarets and banning of veil.
He said western countries were making such interferences due to the rulers’ weakness. “Extremists also exist in the West, but only Muslim countries are targeted for such elements,” he said, asking the government to take steps to stop one-way traffic of propaganda by the West.
