Youth festival organised at UMT

LAHORE – The students of Marketing Club at the School of Business and Economics (SBE) organised the Youth Festival 2011 at the University of Management and Technology (UMT).
More than thirty stalls were set up in the festival. The stalls displayed various products; garments, jewellery, edibles, games, IT products, carved mugs and subsidized products like EVO etc. A large number of students, faculty and staff members visited the festival throughout the day and enjoyed the festivities. UMT Rector Dr Hasan Sohaib Murad was the chief guest and also inaugurated the event.
The Festival was the first activity initiated by the newly formed Marketing Club and the oath taking of office bearers was held during the closing ceremony. Mobin-ul-Haque took the oath from the elected office bearers.
Stalls’ performance was judged by Mobin-ul-Haque, Department of Supply Chain Management Assistant Professor Kamran Rashid and Rashid Hussain.
The first prize was given to “Chilli and Chow” stall and the second prize went to “Haji Bar BQ;” cash prizes of Rs 3000 and Rs 2000 respectively were awarded to the winners.
