LAHORE – Pakistan’s top female tennis player Ushna Sohail will undergo a fitness test for her selection for the Pakistan’s Fed Cup team in the first week of February.
According to Rashid Malik, she will be evaluated in a full length practice match against the camp training players.
Currently six players – Sarah Mahboob, Sarah Mansoor, Saba Aziz, Anoosha Aslam and Iman Qureshi – are training at the Bagh-i-Jinnah Courts under the supervision of former Davis Cupper Rashid Malik who will be the coach of the Pakistan’s Fed Cup team which visit Thailand.
Meanwhile, Rao Akbar Latif, joint secretary Pakistan Tennis Federation and Iftikhar Hussain, vice president PTF, visited the camp to assess the level of training the players are getting. “This could be the best training camp so far I have seen,” said Rao Akbar after his visit to the camp.
