QUETTA – Quetta police has recovered an eight-year-old boy who was kidnapped for ransom from Quetta two weeks ago. District Inspector General (DIG) Wazir Khan Nasar said this while addressing a press conference at his office on Friday.
He added that unidentified people kidnapped Faisal from Sariab on January 12 and demanded Rs 5 million as ransom from his family. He said a joint team of Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) senior superintendent of police (SSP) and deputy superintendent of police (DSP) was formed on the special directives of Balochistan Inspector General (IG) Malik Muhammad Iqbal that conducted a raid at Dasht area in Quetta and arrested the kidnapper.
He added that the accused disclosed the names of his accomplices in front of the police that raided a house and recovered the kidnapped child Faisal and arrested two more people. He said the police recovered one Kalashnikov, two pistols and its live rounds from the kidnappers.
