Khosa leaves for 3-day Karachi tour

LAHORE – Punjab Governor Sardar Latif Khosa has left for Karachi on a 3-day personal visit on Saturday during which, sources said, he is likely to attend the dinner of Chief Minister Sindh and also have meetings with political leaders.
Earlier in the day, Federal Minister for Defense Ahmed Mukhtar and Minister for Information Technology Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali called on Punjab Governor Latif Khosa at the Governor’s House. Both leaders felicitated Khosa on his elevation as Punjab Governor, and admired President Asif Ali Zardari’s political acumen for appointing a seasoned lawyer and a die-hard party leader as Punjab Governor.
Ahmed Mukhtar discussed current political scenario in the province and lauded Khosa’s efforts for political reconciliation in the province in line with the party policy. Asif Ahmed Ali expressed the hope that Khosa’s tenure as Punjab Governor would usher a new era of peace and harmony in Punjab.
