LAHORE – Jinnah Islamia College of Commerce won the Punjab University Lahore Zone Inter-collegiate Cricket Championship here at the New Campus Ground on Friday. Jinnah Islamia beat Govt College Gulberg in the final by two wickets. Gulberg college batting first made 169 runs in 30 overs.
Taya 55 and Dastagir 54 were the prominent players. Junaid had three wickets while Zubair took two. In reply, Jinnah Islamia achieved the score losing eight wickets in 29.4 overs. Adil 40 and Hassan 36 made the win possible. Director Sports Punjab University Dr Zafar Rashid was the chide guest and gave the prizes to the participants.
