Flowers, candies for traffic violators

LAHORE – On the directions of National Highways & Motorway Police (NH&MP) Inspector General Dr Wasim Kausar, a ‘public-friendly-policing-campaign’ will be arranged in sector M-2 (south) and M-3 today from 1500 to 1900 hrs.
During the campaign, extra patrolling and briefing officers will be deployed on the motorway to educate road users regarding road safety, in a friendly manner. During the campaign hours, violators will not be issued fine tickets but will be briefed regarding hazards of violation committed by them.
Briefing stalls will be arranged in service and rest areas apart from briefing at all the interchanges and toll plazas. Flowers and packets of candies will be distributed amongst the road users as a gesture of friendliness.
Motorway Zone Deputy Inspector General Dr Muhammad Shafique and Sector M-2 (south) and M-3 SSP/Sector Commander Nisar Ahmed Saroya will personally brief the road users at Ravi Toll Plaza and supervise the activities by visiting major points of the sector.
