LAHORE – Ciro’s Pomodoro displayed top quality polo to qualify for the main final of the Caanchi & Lugari Pakistan Polo Cup to be played on Sunday (January 23). Despite being a low ranked team, Ciro’s Pomodoro put up a spirited effort to grab 11-7 win against Guard Group/Master Paints. They enjoyed two goals in handicap but their field goals and there field goals were no less in merit.
Although it was a team effort but Hamza Mawaz Khan played the lead role in the match for Ciro’s Pomodoro by producing four goals while Usman Haye hit in two and Raja Temur Nadeem and Bilal Haye shared one goal each.
Raja Samiullah with six goals added lion’s for the losing side and his goals weren’t enough to earn his side the coveted win. If Hamza was the hat-trick hero of the winners, Samiullah did the same for the losers. Umpires for the matches were Azhar Ali and Ahmed Zubair.
