LAHORE – The war of words between the troika in Punjab Assembly Rana Sana ullah, Raja Riaz and Ch Zaheer continued even outside the assembly on Friday.
Both Punjab Assembly opposition leader Chaudhry Zaheer and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) parliamentary leader Raja Riaz targeted the Punjab law minister and Rana Sana responded with the same coin while they were talking to the media after assembly session. Opposition leader and PML-Q parliamentary leader Chaudhry Zaheer pointing towards Rana Sana Ullah said that supporters of criminal elements operating in the province, are sitting in the Punjab government, while the graph of the heinous and minor crimes in the province has increased 60 percent.
Chaudhry Zaheer-ud-Din alleged that the police on the behest of provincial government severely beaten PML-Q leaders Mian Imran Masood, Chaudhary Shafaat Hussain and workers. He accused the Punjab government of aiding and abetting the swindlers and criminals.
He claimed that PML-N-led provincial government has started a vindictive campaign against the PML-Q leaders and workers, as senior party leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi was exposing the shortcomings of the provincial government.
Then PPP parliamentary leader in Punjab Assembly and Punjab senior Minister Raja Riaz while talking to reporters said that Rana Sana Ullah always cross his limits which creates problems for the Sharif Brothers. He advised the Sharifs to get rid of that a permanent headache by stopping Rana Sanaullah from making statements. He said that they wanted Punjab government completes its tenure but Rana Sana always rotten the peaceful and conciliatory atmosphere by uttering nonsense. He said that Punjab Government was not the insurance for PPP, instead of this, he added the PPP guarantee the continuation of PML-N government in the province.
Later Rana Sana ullah while responding to Raja’s remarks said that Raja Riaz must not worry about the problems of Nawaz Sharif and concentrate on saving the skin of their leaders from corruption charges. He said that Punjab government was tolerating PPP ministers only to strengthening institutions. Regarding Zaheer’s allegations, he said that they were trying their best to save themselves from reopening of loan defaulting cases. He said that PML-N has been committed rule of law in the province, however, he made it clear that no violation of law would be tolerated.
