The Karachi crisis

In just a few days in the city of Quaid, many people have been killed by un-identified gun men, who come, hit and run. The dead belong to various parties including MQM, ANP, Jamaat-e-Islami, PML(N), PPP and the Tehrik Sunnat.

When the people are being picked and killed in various parts of the Karachi, Zulfikar Mirza from the Sindh government says that even the American police couldnt stop the target killing in Karachi. Zulfikar Mirza knows who is doing what to whom, but he also knows that if he even mentions the culprits, his coalition government would crumble.

Target killings take place in Karachi just because of the lawlessness and the inability of the security institutions to impose their writ.

All the parties in Karachi have their own areas and they are busy in settling the scores and to have their hegemony where they could. Nobody is innocent and everybody is victim in Karachi right now. Millions and millions of people of Karachi are simply sheep. Karachi, to a keen observer who can see through the crap spread by politicians and media alike, is a jungle full of deadly predators. There are swamps of drug-pushers and arms-dealers, dense bushes full of thugs and street criminals and schools of piranhas representing mafias, political, ethnic and religious terrorists of all sorts.

The coalition government of the PPP, MQM and ANP has failed to protect the citizens of Karachi. How long these target killings would haunt Karachi ties? No one has the answer, for sure.
