LAHORE – CCPO Mohammad Aslam Tarin has issued special directives to all police stations of the Punjab capital to observe one-day as holiday in a week.
In an official statement issued on Thursday from the CCPO Office, police officers from constable to inspector will be allowed to enjoy one-day as a weekly off. In this regard, special orders (2/2011) were issued from IG Punjab Javed Iqbal on January 11.
It’s for the first time in the history of Punjab, that that the government has been sympatic to the police department.. Now every police officer can spend one-day with his family and resolve his domestic issues easily without any fear of show-cause notice or warnings by his bosses.
The lists of circle-wise weekly offs have been displayed at Police Lines and all the police stations in the provincial capital Police sources said the order will end high-handedness of duty officers who will now work in a much relaxed way.
