Bihar enter Lyari semis

LAHORE – Bihar forced their way into semi-finals of KESC Lyari Football League 2011. Bihar defeated Nawalane 2-0 with well-taken second session goals in the first quarter-final. They clash with winner of Singolane/Daryabad quarterfinal on Saturday.
Nawalane’s Mam Jan was the hero with goals in the 42nd and 46th minutes. Jan also received the man of the match award from DFA Karachi South Chairman Imam Bakhsh Sajidi.
Earlier, in the 24th and last Group D league match of the event, favourites Lyari Town routed a depleted Khada 6-1. Spearhead Maqbool Ahmed hit the net five times after landing the opener in the 36th second. His other strikes were recorded in 4th, 42nd, 55th and 59th minutes. Lyari’s Zohaib Nisar also scored in the 9th minute. Khada earned a consolation goal through Shakir Hussain in the 57th minute.
