Early completion of uplift projects ordered

SAHIWAL – Sahiwal Division Commissioner Tariq Mahmood Khan, while chairing a meeting in his office, has directed the building department to ensure quality construction and early completion of development projects within the set time so that people can get benefit from these projects as early as possible. DCO Muhammad Khan Khichi, Director Development Habib Jilani and other relevant officers were also present at the meeting. As many as 11 road projects have been initiated with Rs 500 million.
These include widening of the road from View Hotel to Mission Chowk via Mazdoor Puli, Arifwala Chowk to Muhammadpur Chowk Road, Pakpattan Chowk to DHQ Hospital Road and reconstruction of service road under a flyover, Tehsil road, Gulistan Road, link road between Madhali Road and Noor Shah Road and a road from Star CNG Station to Masjid Shuhada in Farid Town. The commissioner directed the highway department to ensure a close coordination with the TMA and other departments to complete these projects within the set time and said that beautification of the city should be their priority while completing these projects
MAN KILLS GRANDMOTHER: A man killed his maternal grandmother in Farid Town. According to details, the incident occurred in G-Block, Farid Town, where Shamim Akhter was residing in her house along with her grandson Muhammad Ahmed. Last night, when she was sleeping, Ahmed tried to steal money but Shamim woke up and caught him. Muhammad Ahmed killed her when she threatened him with a legal action.
THREE WOMEN ABDUCTED: As many as three women were abducted in the suburbs of Sahiwal. In the first incident, Shahbaz and five others abducted Noora Bibi in village Ahmed Bhagala and fled away. In the second incident, Asif and two others abducted two married women Faroos Bibi and Nazia Bibi in Chak No 120/9L and escaped.
