LAHORE – Guard Group/Diamond Paints defeated the President’s Bodyguards in the Caanchi & Lugari Pakistan Polo Cup here on Wednesday. Playing at the Lahore Polo Club ground, Guard Group/Diamond Paints scored eight goals and allowed their rivals just four who also enjoyed two-and-a-half goal advantage. Despite the lead, only Lt. Col.
Asif Zahoor played the lead role in The President’s Bodyguards line-up as he scored all the four goals while the other three in the team made little contribution. Lt. Col. Asif Zahoor performed for the losing side by scoring one goal each in four chukkers. Taimur Ali Malik, three goals and Raja Samiullah, four goals, did well from the winners while Atif Tiwana came up with one goal. Zain Khan Khakwani & Hassan Ali Farrukh supervised the match.
