LAHORE – Lahore Eagles defeated PTV by seven wickets improving their chances of reaching the semi-final of the One-Day National Cup (Division -II here at the LCCA Ground, on Tuesday.
Lahore will play their next match against KRL and in case they win, they will be the first to move to the semi-finals. The performance of the Lahore team improved since Abdul Rashid took charge of the team as manager.
Put into bat, PTV fell to Saad Nasim’s accurate line and length who grabbed five wickets for 30 runs. PTV got runs through Fayyaz Ahmed and Yasim Murtaza. Both these players hit half centuries but those were not enough as Lahore achieved the score in the 45th over. Eagles completed the score losing three wickets with Usman Salahuddin playing the winner’s innings while Kashif Nizami supported him from the other end.
