Cricketer Freddie Flintoff was rushed to hospital after fracturing his rib while filming his new extreme sports series. The former Test ace was left in agony after he was injured while training for a wrestling match with his former England teammate Darren Gough. His physiotherapist ordered him to go to hospital, where an X-ray revealed he had a broken rib.
The 33 year old was subsequently forced to pull out of the challenge on ‘Freddie Flintoff versus The World’, his new eight-part show which sees him take on a host of retired athletes, including Gough, Dennis Wise, Iwan Thomas and Dennis Rodman. The sportsmen will try out various extreme sports such as cliff-diving, paintball para-gliding, bull-riding and wing-walking.’Freddie Flintoff versus The World’ begins on 25 January.
