Bombings claim 6 lives in Quetta

QUETTA – Four people were killed and one other received serious injuries in two separate blasts that occurred in bordering town of Mand of Kechh district and Chamalang area of Kohlu district on Tuesday.
Unidentified people placed a roadside explosive in Mand which exploded soon after a vehicle passed by, resulting in Abid’s and Kareem’s death, Levies officials said, adding that the vehicle belonged to Babu Dakiat. Soon after the incident Levies and personnel of Frontier Corps rushed to the site, cordoned the area off, and detonated the bomb. No group has claimed responsibility.
In another incident, two persons were killed and another wounded as a result of landmine explosion in Chamalang area of Kohlu. Reports said that a Mazda-truck was passing from Chamalang when it rolled on an anti-tank mine which exploded and killed two occupants Shen Gul and Jalal ud-Din. Another person identified as Zia-ud-Din sustained serious wounds in the blast.
STRIKE: A shutter-down strike was observed in Khuzdar and Panjgour towns of Balochistan on Tuesday at the call of different Baloch nationalist parties against the killing of their leaders two days ago by the intelligence agencies. Naseer Kamalan, Ahmed Dad and Zakria Baloch, of Baloch National Movement, Baloch Republican Party and Baloch Students Organization were picked by the agencies and their bullet riddled dead bodies were thrown in different towns.
EXPLOSIVES SEIZED: Police seized a huge cache of explosives and arrested three suspects from Suhbatpur area of Jaffarabad district on Tuesday. Suhbatpur police signaled a suspicious vehicle for checking which was heading towards Dera Bugti and seized 135 KG explosive material from the vehicle, arresting three accused identified as Nabi Bakhsh, Dur Mohammad and Noor-ud-din.
