MIRANSHAH – A rocket attack by Taliban militants on Tuesday killed at least three soldiers and injured three others in North Waziristan, while a US drone strike in the same tribal agency killed five militants, security officials said. The rocket attack took place at a security forces camp in Razmak area of the agency.
“At least three soldiers were martyred and three others were wounded in a rocket attack,” a senior security official said. “This is the work of Taliban militants,” he added.
Giving details of the drone strike, another security official said, “A US drone fired two missiles at a militant compound in Dashgah village killing at least five militants.”
