Relatives of girl killed by DSP’s car forgive accused

LAHORE – Relatives of a 5-year-old girl crushed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Khalid Javed’s car a couple of days ago forgave the policeman on Monday. According to details, Javed’s car had killed deceased Sadaf in the Kahna Police Station precincts a couple of days ago. The DSP’s car was traced by local residents and Sadaf’s family forgave the policeman. Sadaf’s uncle Rafiq told journalists that they have forgiven the accused and the issue is now in God’s hands who is the best judge. He said that yesterday, the DSP came to their home and sought forgiveness after confessing his crime on which they forgave him.
Separately, unidentified men robbed a jewelry shop and fled with ornaments worth Rs 10 million on late Sunday night in the Ichra Police Station precincts. Police registered a case and have started investigation. The shop is owned by Khurshid Alam and named Hamza Jewelers is located at the Bhatti Chowk, Ichra Gold Market. According to details, Khurshid found scattered things and empty gold boxes in his shop when he opened it after the weekend and informed police, which after reaching the spot recorded his statement. The locks of the shop were the same and there was nothing unusual in this regard, police told Pakistan Today.
Police said that they are closely monitoring developments and would soon arrest the culprits. According to police, ornaments worth Rs 7.2 million were robbed from the shop and the shop owner does not blame anyone for the robbery.
