Husband kills wife in Ghaziabad

LAHORE – A man killed his wife for allegedly having illicit relations in the Ghaziabad Police Station precincts on Tuesday. Police arrested the accused who confessed his crime and admitted that he had also killed his 17-years-old daughter after strangling her neck around five months ago. The deceased was identified as Allah Rakhi, 40, a resident of the Nizamabad Colony, Ghaziabad. According to details, accused Rehmat Ali often suspected her wife’s character and severally thrashed her accusing her of having illicit relations with other men.
On day of the incident, a fight started between both of them on which Rehmat hit Allah Rakhi by a hammer repeatedly on her head, which resulted in her instant death. According to Station House Officer (SHO) Asghar, Rehmat has been arrested and his wife’s body was handed over for burial. Asghar said that local residents informed police about the issue on which police raided Rehmat’s house and arrested him.
The SHO told Pakistan Today that the accused also confessed killing his 17-year-old daughter Surriya Ali alias Baadshah for allegedly having illicit relations with men. According to police, Rehmat said that his daughter had run away with another man. The SHO said that Rehmat had buried his daughter in an empty plot at night.
Police registered a case against Rehmat who is father of eight children. Allah Rakhi’s body was shifted to the morgue for autopsy. Allah Rakhi’s father Nabi Bakhsh told Pakistan Today that life of her eight children has been ruined. He said that relations between the couple never got normal despite birth of their eighth child. Nabi alleged that Rehmat is a mentally retarded person and he has registered a case against him.
