KARACHI – A delegation of Christian scholars headed by Marilyn Hickey Ministries National Director Evangelist Rhonson Asghar called on members of the MQM Rabita Committee on Sunday and discussed with them the political situation of the country, particularly in Karachi.
Other members of the delegation comprised Faith Prayer Ministries Chairman Pastor Amjad Farooq, Pastor Muntazir Gul, Pastor Robbin Raz and Pastor Muazzam Jan.
The delegation members appreciated steps taken by the MQM for protecting the rights of minorities and said that the party’s chief Altaf Hussain has unequivocal stance on serving the humanity, irrespective of caste, colour and religion.
They said that the MQM was the only political party in the country that was working to provide protection to minorities.
MQM’s Kunwar Khalid Yunus thanked the delegation for visiting Nine Zero and assured its members that the party would continue working for the rights of minorities.
MNA Manohar Lal and members of the MQM Minorities Committee were also present on the occasion.
