Sunni Tehreek to take part in next elections

Lahore – Sunni Tehreek (ST), Punjab’s Convener, Muhammad Shadab Raza announced that ST would take part in the next elections and launch a movement against inflation and unemployment.
He further said that an amendment in the blasphemy law would never be accepted, and asked the government to officially condemn the act of a priest who has announced to desecrate the Quran He was addressing to press conference in ST’s provincial office.
He asked the government to dissolve the committee in the supervision of Shahbaz Bhatti assigned the task of reviewing the blasphemy laws. He also asked the government to officially condemn the act of a priest who has announced his intent to desecrate the Quran. He said that a “Shan-e-Risalat” rally would be held on 21st January at Rawalpindi, “Tahafuz-e-Namoos-e-Risalat” (SAW) Conference rally on January 30th, Faisalabad., whereas “Janasaran-e-Mustafa” (SAW) conference would be held at Karachi on February 5th. He asked the government to uncover the terrorists who attacked on the shrines of saints and said that why government is not taking enough measures to convict terrorists through courts. ST would take part in the next elections and would launch a movement against inflation and unemployment, he added.
