Wali Khan Babar laid to rest


Quett/lahore – Wali Khan Babar, a Geo News reporter who was killed by unknown men in Karachi on Thursday night, was laid to rest in his native town, Zhob on Friday.
His body was first brought to Quetta from where journalists and Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awamy Party workers joined his funeral procession to Gadi Babar of Zhob district. People from various walks of life attended his funeral prayer.
Journalists raised black flags on all press club buildings of Balochistan, while journalists wore black arm bands to condemn Wali Khan Babar’s killing.
Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif has announced Rs one million’s assistance for the murdered journalist Wali Khan Babar’s family.
He also condoled with the bereaved family and prayed for the slain journalist.
He said that Wali Khan Babar was a true picture Pakistani and, he added, his killing was a loss to the nation.
