Nisar warns of severe reaction if govt continues to ‘play with words’

ISLAMABAD – Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Nisar Ali Khan on Friday warned the PPP-led government of severe reaction after lapse of 45 days deadline, in case it ‘continued playing with words’ on the issues of national importance.
Talking to reporters, Nisar said, “We want the government to proceed on the agenda put up by the PML-N on national issues.”
He said he hoped the government would convince other political parties within 45 days that it was serious in redressing the issues of the people. To a question, Nisar said after the passage of the 18th Amendment, it was the prerogative of the prime minister to appoint a governor, adding that he hoped Khosa and the Punjab government would feel comfortable with each other.
Nisar said he would not withdraw the legal notice sent to the Election Commission of Pakistan on declaring his educational credentials suspicious.
To a question regarding the increase in Railways fares, Nisar said the government had not learnt a lesson from its mistakes and it was still taking decisions on an ad-hoc basis.
Meanwhile, Senator Ishaq Dar has also moved a privilege motion in the Senate against his degrees being declared suspicious by a section of press.
