LAHORE – Punjab College of Commerce and Punjab University Teaching Department have qualified for the final of the PU Inter-collegiate Badminton Championship that will be played today at the newly-constructed Gymnasium Hall of the university.
In the first semi-final, Punjab College of Commerce defeated Punjab University Law College 3-0. In singles Faizan beat Aaun Ali, Mohammad Shan beat Zafar and Faizan and Irfan beat Aaun and Zafar in the doubles.
In the second semi-final, PUTD defeated Akhwan Science College Burki 3-0. The single matches were won by Faizan Aslam and Saqib Saeed as they beat Zeeshan Basharat and Mohsin while in doubles, Saqib and Faizan beat Basharat and Mohsin.
For third position, Punjab Law College beat Akhwan Science College Burki 3-0. The final of the championship will be played today and Dr Mujahid Kamran, vice chancellor PU will be the chief guest.
